Cathy Steckroth – VP / Director of Design, Steckroth Hospitality Group, Inc. received her B.S. degree in Interior design from Southern Illinois University in 1982 (FIDER accredited).

Following her graduation Ms. Steckroth joined the firm of A. Epstein & Sons International, Chicago, Illinois where she worked in the capacity as Junior Designer. As a team member her design projects included offices, banks, restaurant, institutional and showroom interiors.

In 1984 Ms. Steckroth moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where she accepted a position as Senior Designer for Servico Management Corporation & the Meyer Family one of the nation’s largest hotel companies with a mosaic of hotel brands. As a member of Servico’s in-house architectural and design team Ms. Steckroth handled multiple hotel, restaurant, and night club assignments of varying complexity.

Upon the sale of Servico’s portfolio in 1988 Ms. Steckroth served as a Senior Designer for the Stainless Company, Deerfield Beach, Florida supervising a staff of design professionals specializing in custom interiors and fabricated equipment for the food service industry.

In 1989 Ms. Steckroth was offered the position of Senior Designer at Grunstadt Maritime Overseas, Inc., an in-house design firm for Crown Cruise Lines, Boca Raton, Florida. She was responsible for the design of their new 560 passenger cruise ship, the Crown Monarch, built in Valencia, Spain. Concurrently Ms. Steckroth designed their new passenger terminal located at the Port of Palm Beach.

In 1991 Ms. Steckroth became a partner in Steckroth Hospitality Group, Inc. Her innovative interior and exterior conceptual design skills coupled with an in depth understanding of the operational, financial and statistical requirements that a hotel asset requires has provided the company with a list of successful hotel projects across the nation.

Ms. Steckroth has held a State of Florida Interior Design License since 1991.
