William B. Steckroth

William B. Steckroth – President of Steckroth Hospitality Group, Inc., “SHG”, received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from St. Leo University in 1968. After graduating, he served as a United States Army Green Beret, "A" Team Commander, with duties that included the training and testing of specialized forces from a host of NATO member nations in conjunction with the Navy Seals and the British SAS.

Upon completion of his military service, Mr. Steckroth began his Hotel career as an internal auditor for Palm Aire Corporation where he served for several years before taking over the management of the Lucaya Beach Hotel in Pompano Beach, Florida followed by several years as a representative for a Swiss Fabric Manufacturer to the Hotel Community.

In 1986, Mr. Steckroth founded Steckroth Hospitality Group, Inc. to provide Real Estate Brokerage, Capital Acquisition, Exterior and Interior Design, and FF&E Purchasing services to the Hotel Community nationwide.

Since 1986 Mr. Steckroth has been involved with scores of Hotel Development and Major Turnkey Renovation projects encompassing institutional and non-institutional clients alike. As a preferred vendor to many of the nations prominent Hotel Chains, Mr. Steckroth has completed a diverse array of new construction and renovation projects covering the spectrum from Upper Upscale, Upscale, Upscale Extended Stay and Midscale. Of significance over the past few years he has completed a significant number of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House projects.

In conjunction with a group of software engineers, Mr. Steckroth has developed a highly efficient, proprietary, specifying, purchasing, accounting and tracking online system, “SPT”, which has become the cornerstone of SHG’s purchasing projects.

Concurrently, Mr. Steckroth has been instrumental in the acquisition or sale of a number of Hotels, Resorts and Hotel Development sites, some of which include the Hyatt Hotel, Sarasota, Florida, the Radisson Resort, Hilton Head, South Carolina, Grand Key Resort, Key West, the Hilton, St Petersburg, Florida, Hyatt Place, Delray Beach, Florida and the Islander Resort, Islamorada, Florida. Currently he is working on a number of Resort and Hotel Brokerage assignments nationally.

Mr. Steckroth currently is pursuing the development of various Hotel Capital Funds in hopes of increasing the Hotel Development Pipeline. Licensure includes Florida Real Estate Brokerage.
